I attended a live stream event this past weekend hosted by Bob Proctor and Sandy Gallagher – the event is called The Classics. They were sharing teachings from 4 of Bob’s favourite books.
Who is Bob Proctor? He is one of the world’s greatest teachers on Personal Development and has helped so many people change their lives. As many of you know, I go to Bob’s Matrixx events three times a year as one of his experts – my area of expertise is Social Media and Virtual Assistance – so I often hear both Bob and Sandy (his business partner) speak. More often I hear how people feel after he speaks as the experts are not in every session the students have.
His events always affect me and I am continually learning something new – and mostly for me. Discoveries on how I can be better. But my learning always comes back and affects everything else about my life too – family, friends, business. The events are truly life changing and that is what many of the people who go say as well.
Well, this event was a little different as I don’t always get to hear and be part of all the sessions, so I signed up. It was actually in Los Angeles, but you could also buy a Livestream ticket and watch from home – so I did – all live via computer. And this weekend for The Classics, I get to be part of it all. (Yes, they have a replay but for the most part I was on the computer all weekend – watching.) I got to hear Sandy Gallagher talk more than ever before and it was during one session that she really hit home with me with a lesson on Self Confidence.
She shared a formula – a pledge really – to help you build your self-confidence, but then she also started in on one word. Impossible.
Like many people, I have always felt there were things that were just impossible to tackle or change. But what she shared on it was the other words you can find when you talk apart the word impossible.
She suggested we all start saying the word as I’m Possible, not Impossible, and see how that can help change your thinking on the situation you are in. I have never seen the word as two words before! It just has never hit me.
Bob is very big on saying things aloud and getting the vibrations of the words going into your body to help change how you think. He and Sandy teach you that “If you change your thinking, you can change your life!”
I really believe this is possible. That surrounding ourselves with positive talk and positive people can shift how we feel about ourselves and others. It’s the simple law of attraction. Like attracts like. So let’s make sure it is possible not impossible!
