The #1 Way to Stay Organized with your Marketing and Save Time

Using a content planner is one of the best ways to organize your marketing for your dietitian business or practice.

You’ve probably realized by now that I teach a lot about needing to block time to plan your marketing. In case you haven’t figured this out – your plan is the KEY to saving time AND seeing results. To achieving those goals.

A content marketing plan guides you so you can plan the actions that need to happen to complete your plan. To finish.

Planning is not effective unless you finish.

It’s one thing to look at your goals written out and another to make them happen – to achieve them. For that, you need action steps and marketing content to achieve those goals. And action steps can involve a lot of moving parts.

That is where using a content planner comes into play.

I use my Marketing Content Planner to keep me organized with all the marketing I do, and as a place to save that content and plans because there will come a time when reusing your content will help!

Today, I want to share what you can store in your own Marketing Planner to keep yourself organized with your marketing.

Using a planner in this way can cut down on the time you spend on your marketing. This is time you could be using to devote to work with clients, to grow your business and even spend time NOT working! We all need downtime – ALL of us.

The more we can be efficient with our time in our business, the more time we have to live our lives.

Time is your most valuable asset as a business owner

The biggest plus of using a planner like this is that by keeping everything in one place it’s easy to find, follow and use! I am also very big on saving all your content – your genius and brilliance that gets written down to use online. This makes it easier to repurpose your content!

Pepper It Marketing dotted arrowPRO TIP — There are many ways you can repurpose your marketing content – eBooks, special reports, turn them into mini courses or programs, paid digital products, bonuses for clients, the list goes on… But, it’s hard to reuse and repurpose if it’s lost on the internet because it was not saved before you published it online. That is one of the TOP reasons to use a planner or have a system like this –> to save your content.

The Content Planner I use (which is the Ultimate Marketing Content Planner I sell), houses the critical elements and content needed for my online marketing. I use this with my Virtual Assistant (VA), and we do the same for my clients. If you are doing all of your own marketing, it is still worth having something like this for all the same reasons. You don’t need a VA or Admin person to make this worth using. Time is time.

Here’s what you can store and use within a Content Planner:

  • Anchor Content Plan for the year – list of weekly newsletter-blog topics.
  • Calls to Action focus – what is being promoted in the newsletter & blogs.
  • Special Events and Launches, Dates and Details.
  • Social Media Content Schedule – list of what content gets posted when & where.
  • Blog or Podcast Promotional Posts content – add in new ones each time you publish a blog or podcast.
  • Lead Magnet promotional content – make a batch to save and reuse over time.
  • Brilliance Tips content – tips that teach your community new things, valuable lessons to help them.
  • Engagement posts content – tips to encourage folks to engage and comment.
  • Webinar and Launch content – content used when you have a special event happening such as a webinar, workshop or new programs.
  • List of Holidays and special days – to add extra informative content.
  • List of Keywords and hashtags to use in content – this makes it easy to access, copy and paste when posting Instagram stories or other content on the fly.
  • Launch Calendar with dates and time for the main deliverables – the base of your sales plans and the dates when you need your activities, content, and more, ready to go.

… and the list goes on.

Having a planner that houses all aspects of planning your content is one of the top secrets to spending less time with your marketing.

The trouble is, it is boring, and people think it cannot make a difference. But, it is often the simple things in life that can cause the biggest shifts!

Whatever type of planner you use, be sure to add and include in it whatever is specific to your business or practice. The content and plans you have will change over time; as your business changes so will your marketing needs. Keep your planner updated.
