Can you really create 3 months of social media content in 3 hours?
Have you seen these ads online? The posts from the experts who can help you create 3 months of social media content in 3 hours?
Wow. That seems like an awesome deal, especially since it is only $27!
Yeah, note to self: You want to do your homework. Always check online for reviews. Good deals may not always be good. Trust me!
I really thought that amazing looking “bra-like thing with no straps to hurt your shoulders” that I bought off an Instagram ad was going to be awesome. 😊 But once it got here 3 months later from oversees… well, let’s not get into how that whole situation turned out! I will let you have a chuckle here looking at the picture though, hehehehe!
Anywayyyyyyy…. Sure some ads look awesome, and for the one I was talking about earlier, “Create 3 months of social media content in 3 hours”, yes…they will show you how to create 3 months of content.
But here’s the thing that they don’t tell you abut this type of batching of marketing content. It is often missing one critical element when it comes to creating social media marketing content that is effective.
Cohesion with your current content and message.
In most cases, when I see these products out there showing people how to create months of content in hours, it is always missing that connection to your current content.
If you’ve been on my email list awhile, you know I teach my clients and students how critical it is to create consistent new content. Newsletters, blogs or podcasts… take your pick.
If you want to market your dietitian business online, you must give your online community content. Consistent New Content with what I call the HURC Factor… you create Helpful, Useful, Relevant, Content.
It’s how you connect and build the know-like-trust factor so the people in your community realize how you can help them and want to work with you. Your content makes sense to them and appeals to them!
But the other thing I also teach in my Thrive Marketing Academy is how to take that one piece of content and repurpose it and use it as your social media content too.
And this is where I differ from those folks selling those packages of “Create 3 months of content in 3 hours” products. My difference is that I believe your social media content must relate to your main base content so that people hear that cohesive message from you.
It’s how they hear your message (repeatedly, but in a good repetitive way, not over and over and over without being interesting) and this helps them understand what you can do for them, how you can help.
When you create social media marketing content not connected to your consistent new content and message, it’s not going to be as ideal as if it relates to your current marketing content and help you market your business to bring in more traffic and more leads. And that is why you are taking the time to do your marketing. To attract new leads and clients!
So sure, you can try out those amazing products that show you how to create 3 months of content in 3 hours, but it may not be the best way to help you make sure the time you spend on your marketing and creating content is worth it.
Unless you also have your consistent new content for your website created, this batched content will not work as well – it runs the risk of being disjointed and confusing. And when you confuse people, you lose them.
When they do not ‘get’ your message, then it will not be as effective and create the results you are seeking.
And really, tell me… how often are you three months ahead on your newsletter or podcast? Sure, some of the influencers and folks in the 1% might be that far ahead working with their teams… but the average dietitian in private practice is not often that far ahead in their marketing plans.
I used to have one client that did like to be that far ahead, and you know what happened more often than not? She had to make changes when current events meant she needed to update and change her message.
Not only did it take her more time, but we also had to redo our work and it was added time to her invoice. It cost her in both time and money!
What can you do instead?
Have a system to follow that helps you not only create the consistent new marketing content but at the same time you create your social media marketing content too.
Doing this well will generally take more than 3 hours to create enough content for 3 months. Well, unless you only send one piece of content out every three months that is. 😊 And I don’t recommend that.
I do recommend these 5 Easy Steps To Creating Effective Social Media Marketing Content:
- Set a schedule to plan and publish consistent new content – newsletter and blog or podcast and shownotes.
- Block time off to plan and create your consistent new content.
- Repurpose and create your social media content from your new content.
- Back this up with engaging content and network with people online.
- Repeat this on a regular basis.

Better yet, this template helps create that main content piece, without forgetting critical elements like SEO, and then guides you to use this main content as the base for your marketing content – social media posts, Videos, Reels, IG Stories… all of it!
I do suggest adding some other content to this as well to ensure you have a good mix of marketing content that is intended to Amplify your message, Convert people to leads and help you Engage with your community to get more clients.
This system makes it easy to create months of social media marketing content. Content that is effective in helping you achieve your goals and grow your dietitian business. You can have a thriving and profitable practice because you have a marketing system that works.
So, go ahead and try for that fast path to marketing content you see in all those ads. Ads promising you ways to create a ton of content in very little time, but I’d rather see you spend your time creating effective content that will get you results.
It’s your call, and for goodness sake, do not go buy those bra things – that was a huge mistake, trust me. 😊
