When you have the opportunity to deliver a talk to groups in person or online, be sure your message gets across to your audience!
Messaging is key in your marketing and not just in emails, blogs and social media content, but also in the content you deliver any time you talk in front of a group – in person or online and for official speaking presentations or not! All messages matter!
Today, we are focusing on your message in your presentations. Because you don’t want to deliver any talk and not have the audience understand the message you are sharing.
And if like me, you’ve ever been to an event or presentation where the topic sounded so good and you couldn’t wait to get there and hear the speaker, and then it fell flat – it’s frustrating when the info the speaker shared did not help you or make you feel like you got what you signed up for.
This happens – and it is the last thing anyone wants from a speaking presentation. You want to be sure to get your message across in these situations!
To deliver the message that was the purpose of the talk. Sometimes the presenter themselves can distract you from taking in the main message they were sharing and this is what I want to help you avoid with this checklist that includes the 5 Pre-Talk Prep tasks to do before delivering any talk.
